The Ultimate Review of the Stihl 271

Main Features

The Stihl 271 features an incredibly powerful motor and innovative start system to get you working as soon as the saw is assembled.

The low-kickback cutting chain makes this chainsaw ideal for both experts and beginners. Even if you don’t have much experience, it includes a decompression valve to bring back your breath after every cut! The magnesium allow body ensures that this machine will never rust or corrode from rain and dew so that any time spent with the Stihl 271 is productive!

This power tool also offers long-lasting performance by being able to cut through trees up to 6″ in diameter which saves money on getting fresh wood regularly or renting more expensive equipment.

Benifits:

– Powerful and lightweight

– Low kickback chain for beginner use, decompression valve to bring back breath after cuts

– Magnesium body ensures rust free performance in wet climates

Performance

The Stihl 271 is a powerful machine. I am very impressed with the power this chainsaw provides, as well as how quickly it cuts through wood. The gas tank does need to be refilled more often than other machines we have used in the past, but that’s probably because of its low weight and high performance qualities. This chainsaw starts up easily every time you pull on the cord which helps increase productivity when cutting logs into firewood or even just trimming branches back from trees for landscaping purposes.

Stihl Chainsaws are known for their quality construction and long life spans, so if there were any problems with it after using it all day around our compound then I would certainly mention them here and

Engine Type

The Stihl 271 has a powerful Briggs and Stratton engine that is easy to start. There are no bump starts needed, which means less time wasted with the process of starting up an electric starter. The chain oiler doesn’t seem to work all that well but it’s not a huge deal breaker for me because I can just keep applying more as I need to throughout the day instead of having it automatically lubricate when needed like most other chainsaws do these days. It has great balance so you never feel like you’re going to lose your grip on either side while cutting down logs or trimming branches back from trees in our landscaping area around our compound.

Stihl saws have been known for their quality so I’m confident there will be minimal problems with the machine and it will last a decent amount of time before we need to replace it.

User Experience

I always find that gas-powered saws are more powerful than electric ones, but they also tend to weigh much more too so in this case I think weight is probably a major factor for why people would want one or the other type. The Stihl 271 has really good balance on both sides as well which makes cutting down logs into firewood proceeds quickly when using this chainsaw

This chainsaw is very impressive because of its power and lightweight design. It easily cuts through wood at high speeds so you can get your job done quicker while still maintaining quality workmanship due to its

Design

I love the design of this chainsaw. It’s got a really sleek black and orange color scheme that I think looks pretty awesome, though some people might not be into it as much. It has an anti-vibration system built into it that makes the machine easier to use and less tiring on your hands after cutting down logs for a few hours.

Cut Quality

This is a powerful chainsaw that cuts through wood quickly, but the cut quality leaves something to be desired in my opinion. I’m not sure if it’s because of how much power this saw has or what exactly could be causing it but there are definitely some rough spots after using it for an hour straight.

Only time will tell if these issues with cut quality become more pronounced over time as we continue to use this chainsaw on a regular basis around our property.

Durability

This is a very durable machine that I am confident will last us for many years to come. With its low weight and high performance, it’s an easy decision to buy this chainsaw over others on the market today .

I would rate it as an A+ in terms of durability.

Safety

The 271 has a great safety feature that keeps the chain from hitting your leg even when you’re wearing shorts. It also features an automatic oiler so there’s no risk of forgetting to fill it up with oil, which is safer in general for your machine.

It won’t shake your arm or anything because of its low vibration count and weight distribution.

Price

The Stihl 271 is a very affordable saw at an MSRP of $159.00, with the average price around $130-$150 depending on where you purchase it from. It’s not too heavy to be lugging around either, weighing about 11 pounds without fuel or bar oil. That means that if you’re going camping for the weekend and plan on doing some cutting – this will probably suffice as your only saw (or maybe in conjunction with another smaller one).
